THE 'FREE' BUSINESS CARDS SCAM

THE 'FREE' BUSINESS CARDS SCAM

You know the deals where you get "250" (or whatever) business cards for 'free', you "just pay for shipping and handling"...  well, these 'deals' could almost have been legitimate...  but they aren't!

To make the deal legit, IF the business cards have advertising in the back, THEN the business cards would have to be truly FREE to the end-user, INCLUDING no shipping and handling.

Conversely, IF there is no advertising at all on the card, the deal would be perfectly legit IF the end-user would pay *actual* shipping, something like, say, a dollar or two.

Instead of actually paying for BOTH printing as well as the shipping and handling PLUS, in addition, for the privilege of being allowed to advertise the printer and their crooky-scammy 'free' deal at no pay... which is what it comes to.

So, the existing 'free' business cards deals are of the crooky-scammy sort, and since we already analyzed and explained why in our main blog, we will just refer you to it.  You can find it right here:

A BUSINESS IDEA FOR YOU:

Now, does this mean a legit business couldn't be built on providing truly free business cards, flyers, etc, to the public? Not at all.  We believe honest deals of that kind *could* be created...
if one had the financing tio create them. In the end, such a business model could actually prove profitable.

But as far as we know, at the present time, such deals do not exist. There is no legitimate such deal on the market right now, period. And this is why we highly advise you to actually *pay* for your business cards.

You want them for free? No problem:

Why not sell the backside of your cards or flyers to local non-competitive businesses, and charge them a pretty penny for it? Or at least charge them enough to actually get *truly* free business cards or flyers for yourself?

We have never done it, but this seems easy enough to implement, and you don't need any capital to start it, as by definition your customers will cover all expenses, and perhaps even leave you with a profit.

ALWAYS REMEMBER - A WORD TO THE WISE

ADnPR Sacred RULE Nr 1 :  Advertising, promotional or marketing expenses are usually meant to bring in more than they cost to implement.
This rule should also to some extent be valid for Public Relations expenses.
So, unless you are doing missionary work on the Congregation's penny; or are spending govern-ment grant money as fast as you can; or have a large trust fund - money truly being no object...
never, NEVER spend your money on anything (and particularly NOT on methods that promise you instant wealth!), UNLESS you feel reasonably certain that the product or service will

PAY FOR ITSELF IN A REASONABLY SHORT TIMESPAN!
