THE 'FREE' BUSINESS CARDS SCAM
You know the deals where you get "250" (or whatever) business cards for 'free', you "just pay for shipping and handling"... well, these 'deals' could almost have been legitimate... but they aren't!
To make the deal legit, IF the business cards have advertising in the back, THEN the business cards would have to be truly FREE to the end-user, INCLUDING no shipping and handling.
Conversely, IF there is no advertising at all on the card, the deal would be perfectly legit IF the end-user would pay *actual* shipping, something like, say, a dollar or two.
Instead of actually paying for BOTH printing as well as the shipping and handling PLUS, in addition, for the privilege of being allowed to advertise the printer and their crooky-scammy 'free' deal at no pay... which is what it comes to.
So, the existing 'free' business cards deals are of the crooky-scammy sort, and since we already analyzed and explained why in our main blog, we will just refer you to it. You can find it right here:
- OFFLINE TOOLS FOR PROMOTION AND MARKETING (Business cards, flyers, etc)

A BUSINESS IDEA FOR YOU:
Now, does this mean a legit business couldn't be built on providing truly free business cards, flyers, etc, to the public? Not at all. We believe honest deals of that kind *could* be created...
if one had the financing tio create them. In the end, such a business model could actually prove profitable.
But as far as we know, at the present time, such deals do not exist. There is no legitimate such deal on the market right now, period. And this is why we highly advise you to actually *pay* for your business cards.
You want them for free? No problem:
Why not sell the backside of your cards or flyers to local non-competitive businesses, and charge them a pretty penny for it? Or at least charge them enough to actually get *truly* free business cards or flyers for yourself?
We have never done it, but this seems easy enough to implement, and you don't need any capital to start it, as by definition your customers will cover all expenses, and perhaps even leave you with a profit.

This rule should also to some extent be valid for Public Relations expenses.

never, NEVER spend your money on anything (and particularly NOT on methods that promise you instant wealth!), UNLESS you feel reasonably certain that the product or service will
PAY FOR ITSELF IN A REASONABLY SHORT TIMESPAN!

Hey brother will like to make some corrections. please dont mind them:-

Well, if you’re looking for a custom email address with a custom domain name and you’d like it all for free, there is really only one option at this time, AOL’s My eAddress.
Hmm this information is a bit wrong. Many other services are there. 2 of the most popular are google apps which not only provides you email but also many other features and is really powerful.WIndows Live Domains which i have not et tried but will try it soon.
The other one is
But i have heard from my friends that it is also nice(not as google apps) hope this information helps
[WRONG]
Hey Siddharth,
That’s actually not true…Google Apps for domain assumes you already HAVE YOUR OWN domain that you can then migrate to Google Apps! If you DO NOT already have a domain, you have to purchase one…read this!
https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new
So actually, the AOL service is the only one out there that I could find that actually registers your domain for no cost to you! I think same thing applies to Windows Live Domains!
so u mean to say that we can get email@domain.com without even actually registering the domain.com ?????? If yes then it is pretty cool sorry
If you do use “bring your own domain” with the AOL service, does AOL then assume ownership of the domain?
Yes they do take complete ownership of your domain, so that’s why it probably not worth moving a domain you already have to AOL. Just use this service to get a free domain for fun or for your family. [No need for any comment!]
Hi there, i’ve been trying to create a new domain with AOL but it seems like i have difficulties or have they taken out their free service for personalise email domains??
During Step 1: I can’t seem to go the the page reflected in your screenshot ‘create a new domain’. Basically i was only brought to the ‘bring your own domain’ page only.
Any one can help on this?? Thanks!!
[Like usual, bad scripts, or whatever. You would think these big corporations would at leeast do it right technically, if nothing else, but...]
Yeah, I got the same thing as capella. AOL must have done away with this feature. Any other options?
The “Create a New Domain” option is no longer available at myeaddress.aol.com. Guess the domain registrations were costing them too much for the response they got. I had spent a couple days coming up with possible domain names and checking that they were available and then I was going to create it through My eAddress at AOL – but the “Create a New Domain” option is no longer available. Argh! Another mentioned Google Apps. You don’t get to create your own domain for free. Even if you apply for the “free” account, there is a $10 to GoDaddy for the domain registration. During the process for creating a new “free” account, and after getting it to find a domain that is available (they’re not accurate and will tell you a domain is inuse when it is not), you’ll see on the next screen “One year domain registration for $10″. Well, that’s not free. [Let's get this clear: There was powerful economics behind the move of offering 'free' doma ins... Nonetheless, now they want you to pay AND they take the domain away from you??? Reminds of some Roman author: O tempora! O mores! ]
Can we create our own eAddress in this website? If I could, please tell me.
I WANT YOU TO HELP ME TO CREATE MY OWN EMAIL ADDRESS. SO I WANT YOU TO EMAIL ME THE STEPS TO DO SO , PLEASE.
Abel, the site does not charge any money, but they own the domain name, that’s the major downside. Tebogo, did you read the steps above for creating your own email address?
aol is no longer giving free domains. you can bring your own or purchase for $10
Hi there,
I’m really frustrated. I don’t want to pay any money, but our blog needs a free custom email (like xxx@zatetic.com). I can’t use my eAddress, and as I said before, purchasing is not an option. Please email me a solution.
Thanks!
I want a e mail Because i want to talk to my freinds to And i love e mails i think they are the best
The create your own feature has been removed
please can i have my own email address?
If have one, how can I make another one?
I DON’T Understand! How can I just make my own domain? Like . . .Dimzi@Dimiz.com
why can’t I make a domain like that?! I went onto the site and the only thing I can find is Option No. 3. That’s the confusing one. Great. Theres also Option No. 1, but that’s boring and I want my OWN. Help me out? I can’t pay, and stuff so yeah . . .
Maybe you can show an example on how to create own e-mail address. As an extra, please show it step by step ..PLEASE
there are no such things as free domain! LOL.
If you want to create your own email address, ie: whatever@whatever.com, you MUST buy that particular domain.
I think you guys should make a website were kids can make thier own e-mail address.
The “free” aol My eAddress is no longer available! Here’s what it says about trying to sign up:
“On January 1, 2009, AOL discontinued support for free My eAddress domains created by users. As a result, your mailbox and any other mailboxes listed under these domains are no longer able to send or receive new mail. You can still access messages already in the mailbox.” etc, etc.
But if you have rights to the domain name that u want u can still create an account. I tried going to http://www.myeAddress.com, that is what I found.
IMPORTANT!!!
Read this:
On January 1, 2009, AOL discontinued support for free My eAddress domains created by users. As a result, your mailbox and any other mailboxes listed under these domains are no longer able to send or receive new mail. You can still access messages already in the mailbox.
so even the people that already had it can’t use it no more!!!
I just cant seem to figure out how to create my own email address. Can someone please tell me how? Thanks
If you want to have your own domain for free with AOL well your domain CAN NOT have more than 8 letters other wise you will have to pay then you use. it’s really suck but still it’s better then nothing.
Another option for fully personalized and free email addresses is http://www.uniquemail.com. A lot of their options are paid (because they involve a new domain name I guess), but if you scroll down the list of results there’s always a free option available. [Unless your name is Smith, useless: Validation Failed The surname supplied was not recognized. Joseph Smith will give you, as best possible offer: joseph@smith.mailto.me From just $0.87/month. Wow!!!]
I just need my own personal email address! Help!
i would like to create my own email adress, so that i can send and receive emails!
I want to create my own personal email account. How can I?
I don’t think this service works anymore! I tried to create my own email address, but it didn’t work. Any other sites like this?
I signed up for another free email address at http://www.uniquemail.com only a couple of days ago. Same as before – many paid options (because you’re getting a domain name), but always a free option as well.. Maybe there’s only free options for “personal” email addresses (they seem to have a few options), but that suits me fine [That's not a 'free' domain anyway.]
Hi, it is very important for me to create my own email address! I need to learn how very soon! Please someone help!
Hi, it is very important for me to create my own email address! I need to learn how very soon! Please someone help!
How can I setup my own email address and domain? Thanks.
I have my own website which is developed by another webdeveloper .Therefore i own the domain name of the company. However the email adress that i use is in the form of example@gmail.com and the email adress that i want to use is myname@mycompanyname.com.So can i do it as i have my own website that is a domain name which is a requirement for creating such email ids.I know that this thing is possible in google and one can create upto 50 id’s but are there any drawbacks of the same. Because i want to do it on permanent basis and i dont want to take any chances for the same. So please let me know if there are loop holes if any in the system.
I got my own domain created by a web developer, I got all the userid and passwords, but how to create an email account using my domain? I am a newbie!
I want to create my own domain name, how do I do it?
Hey Guys,
I tried out the service at uniquemail.com as suggested by NathanF above. I wanted my surname as the domain, which turned out to be still available (Yay!!!) so I was happy to pay the yearly fee. From what I could see there were still some free options too though. [If you are lucky like this gentleman, it may be an option, but it wouldn't cost him a penny more to actually buy a domain and have it parked 'for free' (so to speak, he just paid for the service) with one email forwarded to some Yahoo or Gmail account...]
I need more information on how to create a domain and website. Please help.
I need to create a personal email address now! Please help!
Please, how can I create my own domain?
Hey~ guys~ i just got one for a company at uniquemail.com (thank you NathanF ) and it’s cool you can either get a .com for 1.77$/month [ You bet. That's $21.34 a year, and you can even easily get TWO domains of your own for that price, if not THREE! ] or a long thingy like .freemy.name that’s free so yeah it’s up to you. personally i thing if it’s just for you do a free thing it’s better (just my thoughts) and for a company .com or .org or .net etc it’s worth paying… you know, it adds the ‘professional’ touch
byebye~ Good luck~
(mailto:xxx@facebook.com) My friend has this email address, how can i make mine..? Any help plzz..?If u can add me on msn
